For organizations experiencing failing margins, even during times of overall company growth, a review of their back-office setup often reveals the underlying problem is an underperforming or under-utilized technology foundation. Triumphus supports clients going through cycles of exponential growth, consolidation and reinvention by thoroughly analyzing their IT systems and providing strategy recommendations to improve performance and eliminate redundancies. Through expert technological insight delivered in a quantifiable manner, Triumphus helps clients execute an IT solution to resolve the issue of declining margins.

Hopson and his team additionally provide IT project-management services, from desktop rollouts to enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations through data-center implementation and cloud migration. Triumphus offers turnkey solutions for businesses that need to augment or outsource IT staff, and also helps develop policies and procedures to address governmental and regulatory compliance challenges.

Prior to founding Triumphus, Hopson held executive-level IT roles with Union Carbide Corp, BHP Billiton and Devon Energy. He served as a director of technology at Devon Energy Inc., where he combined his knowledge of the technology industry with the valuable leadership skills and discipline he learned as a Marine to align people, process and technology and create an efficient and seamless technology group.

Hopson holds a bachelor of science in Political Science from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Arts in International Studies from Claremont Graduate School, and a Ph.D. in International Relations and Econometrics from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management and School of Social Science, Policy & Evaluation at the Claremont Graduate School.

After serving for five years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Hopson medically retired as team leader for the USMC 3rd Recon, specializing in anti-terrorism, hostage rescue, special ops logistical planning and training.

Hopson, who lives in Clear Lake Shores, Texas, with his wife, Amy, is a geopolitical enthusiast and enjoys spending his free time fishing.
